Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to website reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The services position created for intervention encounters a superior influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all status sassa people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all consumers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
